Great news! Spanish publisher Duermevela willl be bringing out editions of the Blackthorn & Grim trilogy. The plan is for the first novel, Dreamer’s Pool, to be published in late 2026, though the exact timing will depend on how the translation work goes. The other two books should be out in 2027. I’m really delighted about this – it has been a long, long while since any of my books had a Spanish translation, and I know I have Spanish-speaking readers in various parts of the world who will share my enthusiasm. (Also, I am especiallly fond of Blackthorn and Grim.)

Some more about Duermevela, borrowed from their own statement: It is an independent publishing house (started in 2021) specializing in fantasy, speculative fiction and science fiction written from a diverse point of view. So far they have published work from amazing authors like Jo Walton, P. Djèlí Clark, Zen Cho, Angela Slatter and Neon Yang. Their other pillar is to publish more classic female fantasy authors that unfortunately are not present in Spanish bookstores, which are very male dominated, such as Patricia McKillip, Robin McKinley or Tanith Lee.
I like this attitude very much, and I look forward to working with them.
