A great time was had by all at Supanova Melbourne! New Dawn Publishing had four authors and an illustrator there. I met some lovely readers, saw some amazing cosplay, did a couple of panels and signed lots of books. The photo shows the New Dawn contingent. Left to right are Madeline Te Whiu, Maria Linwood (kneeling), Kate Forsyth, Juliet Marillier and Lorena Carrington, who did the beautiful illustrations for Kate’s new book of fairytale retellings. Not forgetting our wonderful publisher, Dylan Ingram, who is not in the photo! It was such fun to spend the weekend with this team, and I apologise to anyone I failed to catch up with – I didn’t manage to get to Artists’ Alley.
(Yes, there is an amazing height difference between tallest and shortest in this group.)
On April 12-13 I will be doing it all again at Supanova Gold Coast – look for me at the New Dawn stand. It’s now likely that I will also be at Supanova Sydney on June 21-22, as well as the Perth event later that month. I hope lots of you will come to see me and perhaps purchase a copy of The Amber Owl and/or Mother Thorn, which we have available in the hardback edition with gold on the cover. For anyone who missed out on purchasing the Warrior Bards series in trade paperback, we should have some copies of those three books as well. I look forward to seeing you at one or other of those events.
